Take Highway 288 South (toward Freeport and Lake Jackson) from either downtown, 610 South Loop, or Beltway 8. Stay on 288 all the way through Lake Jackson. On the south edge of Lake Jackson you will see several motels on the left. Just past the motels you’ll cross Main Street and a few hundred yards later, on the right, you will see a sign reading “East 332/North Business 288/Angleton/Surfside.
Turn right on 332 East and it will take you directly to Surfside Beach.
You basically go over the bridge, and there’s a light. If you go straight, you drive into the gulf.
Turn left at the light, which is Bluewater Highway. A few miles down, on the right, turn on Seagull Avenue.
Then activate your jamaican accent and get your jager legs ready.
